Miocic comes into a darkened arena with his song building. God Gave Me Style - 50 Cent kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Schotel. Miocic does a little dance to reset his feet.
Schotel moves away from the strike by Miocic.
Schotel lands a slapping body shot.
Miocic takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Schotel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Miocic.
Miocic displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schotel throws out the jab.
Miocic walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Schotel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Schotel has been working on his boxing with his coaches at HQG in the buildup to the fight.

Schotel connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Miocic counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Schotel thinking.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Miocic has knocked Schotel down with a huge combo! Miocic steps away and waves a wobbly Schotel back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Miocic measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Schotel! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
