Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sherman Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shemp Cobblestone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sherman Paul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shemp Cobblestone! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cobblestone misses with a two punch combination.
Paul drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Paul has knee on belly and moves into mount. Paul stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Paul fails with the takedown. Paul takes the fight into the clinch. Cobblestone pulls Paul into guard.
Cobblestone wants to get back to his feet but Paul is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Paul knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cobblestone on the ground. Cobblestone is looking for a triangle but Paul pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul is looking to stand up but Cobblestone won't let him. Cobblestone is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cobblestone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cobblestone looks gassed! Paul wants to stand but Cobblestone has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cobblestone has control of Paul's left arm, preventing Paul from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cobblestone is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paul wanted to stand there but Cobblestone had control of the position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Paul's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Cobblestone keeping full guard, as Paul tries to pass. Paul has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Paul throwing strikes but missing. Paul trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paul wants to control from the top but Cobblestone keeps moving. Paul controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Cobblestone is adopting a defensive guard. Cobblestone keeping moving, preventing Paul from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Cobblestone has his feet on Paul's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Cobblestone stuns Paul with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Cobblestone looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Paul! Cobblestone lands with some strikes. Paul is squirming around, avoiding Cobblestone's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shemp Cobblestone dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Cobblestone looks to land a combination. Paul sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Cobblestone misses with a wild body shot. Cobblestone moves out of range of the body kick from Paul.
Paul tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Paul decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Cobblestone wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cobblestone is refusing to be controlled, as Paul sits in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Cobblestone manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobblestone trying to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Paul wants to pass the guard but Cobblestone is keeping the position. Cobblestone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cobblestone keeping full guard, as Paul tries to pass. Cobblestone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Paul is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Paul tries for a takedown but Cobblestone circles away easily and Cobblestone counters with a takedown into side control. Cobblestone decides to stand back up. Cobblestone keeps the fight on the outside. Cobblestone shoots for a takedown but Paul saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Paul tries to close the distance and clinch but Cobblestone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cobblestone tries to clinch but fails miserably and Paul counters with a takedown into side control. Paul wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cobblestone keeps working. Cobblestone tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cobblestone wants to control but Paul postures up. Cobblestone tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Paul breaks from Cobblestone's wrist control and lands an elbow. Cobblestone tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cobblestone defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Paul.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cobblestone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Paul jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cobblestone is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cobblestone and Paul has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Cobblestone is trying to buck Paul off. Paul is looking to take a break and control but Cobblestone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Shemp Cobblestone will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Cobblestone shoots for a double leg takedown but Paul sprawls well. He's pushed Cobblestone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cobblestone tries to clinch but Paul moves out of range. Paul misses with a takedown and Cobblestone counters with a series of strikes. Paul will be more careful next time no doubt. Cobblestone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Paul counters by moving into the clinch. Cobblestone is fighting off a takedown attempt but Paul is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cobblestone to the mat. Cobblestone regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Paul trying to control the position from guard on top but Cobblestone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cobblestone looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Paul is defending well. Cobblestone quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Paul has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Cobblestone celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
