Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michal Materlak (ranked 705 p4p, 1414 weight class) and Sabas Mendiola (ranked 88 p4p, 171 weight class). Materlak comes to the cage accompanied by Marzenia. Michal Materlak had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 16 - 4, fighting out of Sydney, Michal Materlak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sabas Mendiola!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendiola fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Materlak manages to avoid it.
Mendiola tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Materlak throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mendiola sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A clash of legs there as Mendiola blocks the low kick.
Materlak jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Materlak moves away from the strike by Mendiola.
A looping hook to the body misses from Materlak. Mendiola does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mendiola changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Materlak fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mendiola on the side of the head.

and Mendiola counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Materlak!
