Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Dettmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dettmann comes to the cage accompanied by Marcel Dettmann - Kernel. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcel Dettmann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob White!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dettmann fakes high and swings low for a body shot but White manages to avoid it.
Dettmann is trying hard to land a takedown here. White sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dettmann slips a jab and a cross from White.
White throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dettmann fails with a takedown attempt.
White misses with a kick to the body.
White misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dettmann.
White shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Dettmann counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Dettmann drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dettmann jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dettmann wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

Dettmann is working for a kimura but White is defending it quite comfortably.
White moves into full guard.

Dettmann drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and White dives on top into guard.
White is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dettmann has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Dettmann's legs - danger averted.

White postures up and lands a big shot to Dettmann's brow.
White wants to stand and escape but instead Dettmann has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Dettmann postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! White is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dettmann, into his guard.

White wanted to stand there but Dettmann had control of the position.

Dettmann has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but White can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dettmann looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

White stands up and waves to Dettmann to follow him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
White avoids the body shot from Dettmann.
White moves out of range of the strikes.

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dettmann is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of White's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take White's back!

Dettmann has his foot on White's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. White works his way back into a safe position though.

Dettmann manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. White manages to get himself to full guard.

Bob White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Dettmann misses the shot to the body.

White throws a nice looking combination but Dettmann bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
White moves in looking to clinch but Dettmann pushes him off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bob White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dettmann dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

White is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dettmann is defending well for now.

White tries to clinch but Dettmann moves away

Dettmann is trying to work for a single leg takedown but White pulls him back up using the underhooks.
White misses with a short punch on the inside.
White wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
White throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dettmann blocks it with crossed arms.
Dettmann is working for takedown but White is calmly controlling the position for now.
White has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Dettmann jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as White walks away with a smile on his face. Dettmann gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcel Dettmann. That's going to take a lot out of him.
White misses with a hook. Dettmann ducked under it nicely.

White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dettmann turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Dettmann is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. White knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dettmann goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, White rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dettmann's guard! Nice work there by White!

White wants to get up but he can't break Dettmann's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dettmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dettmann thows a body shot but no joy.

White pulls out of a head kick attempt.
White shoots in for a takedown but Dettmann shows good takedown defense.

Marcel Dettmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dettmann jabs White right on the nose. White blinks but takes it well.
White misses with a wild body shot.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcel Dettmann.
I think Dettmann has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
