Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Riley Knight (ranked 4038 p4p, 4740 weight class) and John Pork (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Riley Knight has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Pork!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pork dives in and grabs Knight's left leg, looking for a takedown. Knight pushes down on Pork's head and hops out.

Pork gets tackled into the cage by Knight. Knight maintains the clinch.
Knight has a couple of punches blocked by Pork.
Pork fails to pull guard.
Knight has a couple of punches blocked by Pork.
Knight misses with a short punch on the inside.
Knight swings wildly with an uppercut but Pork uses good head movement to avoid it.

Knight misses with the head strike.

Knight blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Knight swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Pork looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Pork wants to break free but Knight has control.
Knight misses with some punches.
A nice left hand lands by Knight.
Pork is trying to break the clinch but Knight is controlling him.

Knight lands a hook that snaps the head of Pork backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Knight.
Knight misses with the head strike.

Pork pulls guard successfully.
Pork is pulling down on Knight's head to control his posture.
Knight wants to control from the top but Pork keeps moving.
Knight looking to sit in guard and control but Pork gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pork slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Pork passes Knight's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pork content to control rather than advance.
Pork uses his free foot to push down on Knight's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Knight.

Knight on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Knight tries to get out of the position.

Pork controlling his opponent.
It looks like Pork might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Pork lands a big elbow.
Pork takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Pork has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pork is trying to force a seperation but Knight has the dominant position.

Pork is trying to push Knight away but Knight has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John Pork will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Pork has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Knight uses from the top position.

John Pork is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Pork closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pork lands in his opponent's guard.
Pork seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
