Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Mcdonald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Justa Fighta!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fighta moves into the clinch.
Fighta digs a right hand into Mcdonald's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Mcdonald's gas tank.
Fighta landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Fighta's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Fighta lands a body shot in the clinch.
Mcdonald tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fighta smiles and moves away.
Mcdonald looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fighta shoots in for a double leg but Mcdonald sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mcdonald feinted with a counter takedown.
Fighta scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fighta has Mcdonald up against the cage in a clinch.

Fighta gets control of Mcdonald's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fighta will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Fighta wants to stand and escape but Mcdonald is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcdonald controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Fighta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcdonald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fighta can't keep his opponent in guard - Mcdonald advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mcdonald slows the pace down in half guard.
Mcdonald is looking to advance position but Fighta won't allow it.
Fighta is trying to stand back up but Mcdonald is controlling him
Mcdonald wants to free his trapped foot but Fighta is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mcdonald stalling.
Mcdonald seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fighta for as long as he can get away with.

Mcdonald in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Fighta tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mcdonald!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nick Mcdonald!
Nick Mcdonald took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
In defeat, Justa Fighta stepped up to the mic, saying 'I WANT THE REMATCH'.
