Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Boris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicholas Sartre!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boris misses with a wild body shot.
Sartre tries a quick counter leg kick but Boris is wise to it.
Sartre lands with a thumping leg kick.
Boris looks to throw the jab but Sartre is out of range.
John Boris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boris misses the jab.
Sartre fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Boris checks it well.
Boris feinted with a counter takedown.
Boris cracks Sartre with an open hand slap.
Sartre takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Boris jabbing away but nothing is landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sartre leaves Boris with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sartre misses with an uppercut

and Boris counters with a shoot takedown. Sartre fights it but they end up in guard.
Boris landing with the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sartre looking to control but Boris passes into half guard.
Boris lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Sartre tries to roll over but Boris keeps him under control.
Boris works his way into side control.
Boris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Boris sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Sartre is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
An elbow from Boris crashes against the mat.
Boris throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Sartre works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Boris wants to control but Sartre is keeping him busy.
Sartre is looking to improve his position.
Sartre wants to get back to his feet.

Sartre looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Boris is working for a submission of some sort.
Sartre is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Boris throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Boris missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Boris looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Boris controlling the action here.
Sartre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Boris's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Boris's back!

Boris has hold of Sartre's leg, trying to break free but it's let Sartre lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Boris is turning an unusual color here� he's out! Sartre throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
