Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23495 p4p, 23320 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 61 - 77 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 61 - 84 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Salvacion fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Amiga to the ground. Salvacion is now in Amiga's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amiga can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Salvacion controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Amiga closes the distance and clinches up with Salvacion, looking for a takedown. Amiga pushes Salvacion against the cage but Salvacion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well.

Salvacion shoots for a double leg takedown but Amiga sprawls well. He's pushed Salvacion's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Salvacion manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Amiga on his heels. He'll look to pass Amiga's guard now, I'm sure.

Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
