Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Filipe Silva (ranked 3993 p4p, 4081 weight class) and Sean Blevins (ranked 368 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Filipe Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Blevins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blevins fails with a takedown attempt.
Blevins tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Blevins has taken the fight to the clinch.
Blevins lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Blevins drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Blevins.
The fighters circle momentarily. Blevins darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Filipe Silva has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Blevins dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Blevins's head and hops out.
Filipe Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Blevins.
Blevins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silva leaves Blevins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Silva feinted with a counter takedown.
Sean Blevins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blevins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blevins off to one side.
Silva drops down looking for a counter takedown but Blevins sprawls and moves away.
Blevins shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Blevins lands a nice shot to the body.
Silva takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blevins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Blevins closes the distance and clinches.
Blevins content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Blevins is pushing Silva up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Blevins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blevins rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Silva has Blevins pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Blevins manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Blevins jumps guard and drags Silva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Silva has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Blevins is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Silva yanks on the arm and Blevins is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Silva.
