The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summers keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Luger throws a right and a left that both miss. No luck for Summers with that takedown attempt. Luger has Summers up against the cage in a clinch.
Summers is trying to maintain a safe position but Luger gets an underhook and turns Summers into the cage. Luger goes for a takedown in the clinch but Summers prevents it.
Luger tries a knee to the head but Summers blocks it.
Luger tries to score a body lock takedown but Summers shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Himsa Luger. That's going to take a lot out of him. Luger crunches a lovely knee into Summers's ribcage. Luger wants a takedown.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Luger as Summers tries to tie him up. Summers gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Luger.
Luger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Luger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Summers trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Summers looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Summers flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Summers blocking the ground and pound attempt from Luger. Luger wants to pass to mount but Summers is defending the position. Luger is taking a breather. Summers says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Summers is not content to let Luger control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Summers gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Luger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Luger has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Luger is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Summers trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Luger stands and steps away. Summers gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Danga de danga de dang - Summers scores with a four punch combination! Luger fails with a takedown attempt from distance. The fighters circling - Luger throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Summers moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Summers throws a left that rocks Luger and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Summers dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Luger regain composure!
Luger is rocked! Summers scoring with punches and elbows. Luger wants to control but Summers postures up. Luger is looking to reverse the position. Luger is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Summers is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Summers with good strikes from the mount here! Summers cracks Luger with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luger tries to hold on but Summers postures up. Summers looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Summers avoids the attempt from Luger to control. Luger keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Luger tries to hold on but Summers postures up. Luger is looking to improve his position but Summers isn't that keen on the idea. Luger is bucking up trying to escape but Summers cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Luger manages to regain half guard. Good work. Luger tries to roll over but Summers keeps him under control. Luger is looking to escape. Luger wants to control but Summers is keeping busy and won't allow it. Luger kicks off Summers and gets to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Summers throws a lazy head kick and Luger counters by moving into the clinch. Luger tries to score a body lock takedown but Summers shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Both fighters working to control the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jason Summers will probably get the nod. That's time! Luger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A head kick by Summers misses and Luger counters with a flying knee. Nice. Luger instigates a clinch. Summers takes a knee right on the jaw!
Luger has hold of one of Summers's legs. Summers is fighting the takedown attempt but Luger gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Luger stopping the sweep attempt from Summers. Luger trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Summers scores with a short punch from the bottom. Summers throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Summers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Luger is one step ahead there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luger decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Summers, up you get! Summers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Luger circles away quickly and effectively. Luger gets a clinch. Luger gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Summers regains guard.
Luger trying to control the position from guard on top but Summers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Summers is trying to keep Luger in close.
Summers is working an open guard so Luger takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Luger shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Luger showed some decent athleticism there. Summers missing with punches from the bottom.
Luger passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Summers! Summers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Summers is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Summers wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summers won't enjoy being in this position. Luger looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Summers is tapping - it's over boys! Luger picks up the submission victory!
