The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
The Flamingo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The Flamingo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sousa is trying to defend but The Flamingo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: The Flamingo (2) vs (0) Sousa

Sousa has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for The Flamingo. Oh but Sousa has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! The Flamingo goes limp - he's gone! Sousa jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
