Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Fochi (ranked 3132 p4p, 4650 weight class) and Dae Su Joon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Michael Fochi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dae Su Joon! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fochi scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Joon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Fochi counter with a right hand.
Fochi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Joon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fochi trying to control the action but Joon is working from the bottom. Joon trying to remain calm as Fochi controls from the top position.
Fochi looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Joon is looking to regain half guard here but Fochi keeps moving and retains side control.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Joon tries to buck Fochi off but Fochi is having none of it. Fochi controls the position from side control. Joon manages to get back to half guard. Fochi is figuring out what he wants to do next. Fochi wants to pass the guard but Joon is defending well.
Fochi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Joon has managed to free his arm - good work.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Joon moves into full guard.
Fochi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Joon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Joon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Joon is looking for a triangle but Fochi pushes his legs off easily.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Fochi stopping the sweep attempt from Joon. Fochi advances position into side control! Joon prevents Fochi from moving into mount. Joon tries to improve position but can't. Fochi tries to advance to mount but can't. Joon manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Joon working over Fochi with some ground and pound. Fochi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Joon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Fochi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Joon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fochi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Fochi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Joon preventing the sweep.
Fochi has his foot on Joon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Joon works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fochi keeping moving, preventing Joon from controlling successfully. Joon throwing strikes from guard but Fochi blocks nicely. Fochi lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
 The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Joon trying to keep a closed guard but Fochi is proving a slippery customer.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Fochi dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Joon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fochi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fochi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Joon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fochi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Fochi tests Joon's chin there with a solid looking shot. Horrible takedown attempt by Joon or perhaps it was just good defense by Fochi, which made it look bad. Michael Fochi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dae Su Joon. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fochi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Joon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fochi is in Joon's guard.
Joon has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Fochi has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Fochi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Fochi wants to control from the top but Joon keeps moving. Fochi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Joon can do to turn this around? Fochi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Joon keeping moving, preventing Fochi from controlling successfully. Fochi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Joon swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fochi controls from within his opponent's guard. Fochi passes easily into side control. Nice work. Joon is trying to get back to half guard. Joon keeps trying to improve his position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Fochi is looking to take a break and control but Joon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fochi tries to advance to mount but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fochi trying to control the position but Joon is working away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Fochi dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Fochi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Joon manages to avoid it.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Joon is looking to regain half guard here but Fochi keeps moving and retains side control.
Fochi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Joon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Joon gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Joon is pressing down on Fochi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Fochi postures up.
Fochi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Joon's guard. Joon wants to get back to full guard.
Fochi wants to work for an arm triangle but Joon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Joon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fochi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Joon wants to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Fochi showed his dominance in that final round. Well Fochi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
