Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Beckwitz Jugges!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elisha Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins shoots and misses
and Jugges cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hopkins fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jugges swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Hopkins looks to clinch
and Jugges counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Elisha Hopkins has been cut.
No luck for Hopkins with that takedown attempt.
Jugges was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hopkins moves in looking to clinch but Jugges pushes him off.
Hopkins has his takedown stuffed
and Jugges counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Beckwitz Jugges has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elisha Hopkins.
Hopkins looks winded!
Jugges cracks Hopkins with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hopkins tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Jugges pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hopkins is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
