Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Souza (ranked 4425 p4p, 1894 weight class) and Brenden Haney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Hector Souza has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A punch combination from Souza misses.
Haney thinks about the counter body kick.
Souza takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Haney clobbers Souza with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Souza is breathing heavily.
Haney scoring well with a low kick there.
Haney's coach down at Fighter Factory was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haney's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Haney connects with a crisp jab.
A nice leg kick lands there from Haney.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Souza shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Haney defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Haney cracks Souza with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Souza really is a fat lump.
Whack! Haney lands a heavy head kick that drops Souza. The ref tackles Haney to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Souza was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Brenden Haney!
A very excited looking Brenden Haney made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
