Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abel McGuire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Myson Tike!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Tike with that takedown attempt.
Tike doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tike takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tike takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tike keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
McGuire landing knees to the head.
McGuire softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Tike lands a left hand.
McGuire definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tike lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
McGuire crunches a lovely knee into Tike's ribcage.
Tike looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGuire makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by McGuire.
McGuire lands a knee to the body.
McGuire lands a hook to the side of the head.
McGuire landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
McGuire drops Tike with a big knee straight up the middle! Tike is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Tike is rocked!
McGuire scores with a hook to the body. Tike takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tike is still on wobbly legs! Can McGuire finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tike uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGuire.
McGuire cracks Tike on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Tike falls backwards against the cage. McGuire follows up with more strikes that drop Tike to his knees. McGuire keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Tike! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abel McGuire!
