Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lashley comes to the cage accompanied by Ya Boy feat. Lil Wayne- Rain Man. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ryan Lashley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Davis! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lashley to the mat! Lashley manages to get full guard. Lashley looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lashley could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Davis is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lashley swivels though and keeps the full guard. Davis throws a big right hand that misses. Davis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Lashley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Davis tries to free his leg and advance position but Lashley is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lashley keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully. Davis wants to stand and escape but instead Lashley has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth. Lashley won't allow Davis to get back to his feet. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Davis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis lands a couple of elbows. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Lashley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Davis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lashley has control of Davis's left arm, preventing Davis from doing any damage. Lashley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Davis is controlling him. Davis with a flurry of punches that miss. Lashley looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lashley is looking to stand up but Davis isn't so interested in that idea. Davis is looking to stand up but Lashley won't let him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Davis drives through with a takedown into guard. Lashley keeping full guard, as Davis tries to pass. Davis wants to control from the top but Lashley keeps moving. Davis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Davisis looking to pass into half guard but Lashley pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lashley is in guard. Davis looking to control.
Davis is looking for a triangle here but Lashley uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Lashley cracks Davis with an elbow. That is naaassty. Davis tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davis wants to get back to his feet but Lashley is dominant here and he's now got Davis's back! Davis wants to escape the position.

Gary Davis dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nice takedown defense from Lashley. No joy for Davis on that attempt. Davis shoots in for a takedown but Lashley shows good takedown defense. Davis drives through with a takedown into guard. Lashley can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Davis controls the pace. Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lashley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Davis wants to stand but Lashley has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lashley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis wants to control from the top but Lashley keeps moving. Lashley manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Lashley finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lashley's waist but Lashley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side. Ryan Lashley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Davis. Davis checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Davis scores a takedown into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lashley has worked his arm free - good work by Lashley!
Lashley taking a bit of punishment here - Davis scoring with strikes. The referee asks Davis politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Davis prefers to stall for the moment though. Davis has knee on belly momentarily but Lashley bucks him off and regains half guard. It looks like Davis is going to stand back up.

Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lashley trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Lashley will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
No joy there for Lashley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Davis scores a takedown into full mount! Lashley is desperately trying to improve his position but Davis has a good base and remains in mount. BOOM! Davis connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Lashley is squirming around, avoiding Davis's attempts to control the action. Davis content just to control the position here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Davis jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lashley is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lashley and Davis has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Davis wants to escape the position.
Lashley is trying to stick to Davis's back but Davis is turning into Lashley. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lashley's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Davis. Davis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lashley manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Davis has Lashley in his guard. Lashley postures up.

Lashley tries for a takedown but Davis circles away easily and Davis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Davis trying to control the action but Lashley is working from the bottom. Davis not landing any meaningful shots this time. Davis is looking to take a break and control but Lashley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lashley is trying to stand.
Davis seems to be looking for submissions.
And that's the end of the fight! Gary Davis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Davis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
