Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaya Kainga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Timur Kvaratskhelia!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kainga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kainga wants it to stay on the feet.
Kvaratskhelia tries for a takedown but Kainga circles away easily
and Kainga counters with a straight right hand.
We've been told by Kainga's head coaches at Tokyo All-Stars that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kvaratskhelia tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kainga defends well and Kvaratskhelia ends up having to push Kainga into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kaya Kainga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Kvaratskhelia.
Kainga lands a big right hand that sends Kvaratskhelia crashing to the mat! Kainga stays standing though and waves Kvaratskhelia back to his feet!
Kvaratskhelia is rocked!
Kvaratskhelia looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kvaratskhelia switches off momentarily and Kainga cracks him with a monster right hand! Kvaratskhelia topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Kainga dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Kainga!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kaya Kainga!
