And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Combs closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
DePriest manages to work his way to half guard, despite Combs's best efforts.

Combs got a little sloppy there for a moment and DePriest has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Combs has managed to get both his arms back between DePriest's legs - danger averted.
Combs trying to control the position from guard on top but DePriest is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
DePriest is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Combs presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Combs has DePriest pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Combs pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending DePriest tumbling to the mat - Combs dives into DePriest's guard.
The fighters are working up against the cage. DePriest manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Combs is looking to advance position but DePriest has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Combs is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Combs can do anything to dispel that myth.

DePriest cracks Combs with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Combs is wriggling around trying to escape.
DePriest sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Combs has given up his back here.
DePriest avoiding Combs 's attempts to control his hands.
DePriest has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Combs wants to escape the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
DePriest slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
DePriest is hanging on to Combs's back as he tries to escape.
Combs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DePriest. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
DePriest has got one arm under Combs's chin. This could be trouble... Combs trying to control the other hand but DePriest gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Combs has tapped out! The fight is over!
