Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Coleman (ranked 4080 p4p, 3938 weight class) and Nelli Thomus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelli Thomus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nelli Thomus!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thomus. Coleman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thomus throws a right and a left that Coleman avoids nicely.
Coleman half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Thomus misses with a wild body shot.
Thomus connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Coleman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Thomus cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thomus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coleman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thomus keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Thomus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coleman moves away.
Thomus looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Thomus tries a head kick but it misses.
Thomus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Coleman feinted with a counter takedown.
Thomus throws a series of punches but Coleman moves out of range.
Coleman tries to counter with a takedown but Thomus is quick to defend against it.
Thomus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Thomus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coleman was well out of range. Poor timing from Thomus.

Coleman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thomus on his heels. He'll look to pass Thomus's guard now, I'm sure.

Coleman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Thomus defends it easily.
Thomus wants to stand but Coleman has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Thomus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Thomus avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Coleman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thomus doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thomus manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coleman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Thomus is looking to stand up but Coleman won't let him.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Coleman pulls Thomus in close to prevent any damage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Coleman is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Thomus is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Coleman wants to hold on but Thomus pushes him away.
Coleman is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Nelli Thomus dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Coleman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Coleman seems to be looking for submissions.

Coleman is trying for a kimura here. Thomus looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Coleman wins by kimura!
