The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitewall closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Veltran did well to prevent Whitewall getting side control.
Veltran keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Whitewall content to control rather than advance.

Whitewall slips a nice elbow through Veltran's hands, connecting with Veltran's forehead.

Oh Veltran is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Veltran on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Whitewall lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Veltran quite badly. Veltran pulls Whitewall in close trying to recover. Whitewall postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Veltran on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Veltran doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Play Whitewall!
