This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 38 wins and 42 losses; Friedrich August Von Hayek! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Von Hayek shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ngannou napping and manages to drive through into side control! Von Hayek is thwarting Ngannou's attempts to control the position.
Von Hayek is looking for a kimura but Ngannou is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Von Hayek to get the leverage.
 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Von Hayek is taking a breather. Ngannou says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ngannou is trying to control but Von Hayek manages to pass to mount!
