Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raiden Cordova (ranked 3854 p4p, 25453 weight class) and Boy Kamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raiden Cordova has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raiden Cordova!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boy Kamatis!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamatis tries to clinch but Cordova moves out of range.
Cordova works over Kamatis's head and body with a nice combination.
A head kick misses from Kamatis.
Cordova circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kamatis shoots in but Cordova avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cordova avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kamatis slaps away a takedown attempt from Cordova, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kamatis rushes Cordova and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cordova comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Cordova jumps guard but Kamatis stands there with Cordova around his waist. Cordova gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kamatis creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Cordova wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Kamatis gets control of Cordova's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kamatis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Kamatis controls Cordova momentarily but Cordova frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cordova connects with a nice short shot to Kamatis's temple.
Cordova will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cordova wants to stand up but Kamatis is controlling the position.
Cordova is looking for a kimura but Kamatis is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cordova to get the leverage.

Cordova really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cordova closes the distance and clinches.
Kamatis tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cordova avoids it.
Cordova keeps control of Kamatis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A bit of stalling here from Cordova.
Kamatis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cordova just stands there and leans against the cage.

Kamatis is pressed up against the cage. Cordova has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kamatis down to the mat. Kamatis avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kamatis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A combination from Cordova does no damage.
Cordova throws a lazy right hand but Kamatis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kamatis changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

It looks like Raiden Cordova has been cut.
Cordova slaps away a takedown attempt from Kamatis, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cordova wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Cordova takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cordova has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cordova is struggling to control the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kamatis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kamatis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kamatis shoots in but no luck this time.
Cordova rushes Kamatis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kamatis content to slow the pace in the clinch.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Boy Kamatis will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Raiden Cordova's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cordova accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cordova takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Boy Kamatis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cordova fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kamatis lands with an uppercut that bounces Cordova off the cage and back into range.
Kamatis has closed the distance and engaged Cordova in a clinch.

Kamatis shoots for a double leg takedown but Cordova sprawls well. He's pushed Kamatis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kamatis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cordova. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kamatis scores with a big shot! Cordova's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Cordova! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
