Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Seal (ranked 981 p4p, 589 weight class) and Lucas Clinton (ranked 82 p4p, 52 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Seal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lucas Clinton! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seal closes the distance and clinches. Clinton swings wildly with an uppercut but Seal uses good head movement to avoid it. Seal looking for a takedown. Seal wants to break the clinch but can't.
Clinton lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Clinton has a couple of punches blocked by Seal.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Seal has Clinton pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Clinton manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A short right from Clinton on the inside. I was talking to Seal's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Clinton misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clinton lands a damaging elbow.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Seal wants to clinch. Clinton looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Seal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Clinton was covering up waiting for the punch and Seal finishes the takedown easily into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seal sitting in guard, not really doing much.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Seal wants to control from the top but Clinton keeps moving.

 That's five minutes gone in the round. Seal slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Clinton managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Seal.
Seal is trying to ground and pound but Clinton uses the momentary lack of control by Seal to regain half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Seal in particular looking to stall. Clinton trying to hold on to Seal's head to control him but Seal postures up.

 That's six minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Seal wants to pass to mount but Clinton is defending the position. Seal tries to stand and escape but Clinton is controlling the position. Seal prevents Clinton from improving his position. Seal tries to pass to full mount but Clinton defends it.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Seal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Clinton as he jumps to the side. Seal throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Seal tries to clinch but Clinton moves out of range. Seal misses with a few strikes there.
Clinton throws a fast counter high kick but Seal manages to duck under it in time. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Seal. Seal tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Clinton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A little jabbing left from Clinton on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Horrible takedown attempt by Seal or perhaps it was just good defense by Clinton, which made it look bad. Seal wants to clinch but Clinton slips to the side and Clinton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Seal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Seal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Seal wants to stand but Clinton has his arm trapped. Clinton tries to improve position but can't. Seal working away. Seal looking to control but instead Clinton has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Seal keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Seal is just content to waste time from the top position. Clinton takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Clinton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Seal would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Clinton controls Seal momentarily but Seal frees himself. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Seal seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Clinton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Seal. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Matt Seal will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Matt Seal's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Clinton throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Seal wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Clinton has him pressed against the cage. Seal is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Clinton to keep the fight standing. Seal jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Clinton walks away with a smile on his face. Seal gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Clinton pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Seal. Seal scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Clinton connects with the punch. Seal throws a chopping leg kick but Clinton manages to avoid taking any serious damage. It seemed like Clinton was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Clinton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Clinton is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Clinton lands with a nice body punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fight stays on the outside here - Seal looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lucas Clinton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Clinton lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Seal is trying hard to land a takedown here. Seal shoots in looking for a takedown. Clinton tries to sprawl out of it but Seal keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Clinton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Clinton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Matt Seal's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Matt Seal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Seal shoots for a takedown but Clinton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. And that's the end of the fight! Lucas Clinton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Clinton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
