Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Phil St. Georges (ranked 469 p4p, 532 weight class) and Brody Gibson (ranked 42 p4p, 51 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil St. Georges! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brody Gibson! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St. Georges bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. St. Georges wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gibson keeps working. Gibson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
St. Georges swings around for an armbar but Gibson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into St. Georges's guard. Gibson works a leg free and moves into half guard. St. Georges tries to roll over but Gibson keeps him under control. Gibson thows a huge punch but St. Georges dodges it nicely.
Gibson slows the pace down in half guard. Gibson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. St. Georges trying to control but Gibson postures up.
Gibson slips a nice elbow through St. Georges's hands, connecting with St. Georges's forehead. St. Georges is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gibson scores with a couple of nice shots. Gibson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gibson controlling the action here. Gibson lands strikes from half guard. Gibson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. St. Georges defending well though. St. Georges is looking for a sweep. Gibson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. St. Georges is staying active underneath Gibson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. St. Georges wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gibson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. St. Georges defending well though. St. Georges slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. St. Georges struggling a bit here. St. Georges looks to move to half guard but instead Gibson has passed into mount! Damn! St. Georges is working to get back to half guard.
St. Georges is in a horrible position here. Gibson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
St. Georges is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gibson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gibson raining down shots from the mount! Gibson controlling from the full mount. This has been an exciting period of action!
Gibson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. St. Georges can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Gibson. Gibson raining down shots from the mount! St. Georges is working to get back to half guard.
Gibson lands with some strikes. St. Georges sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Gibson lands with a punch from half guard. St. Georges on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. St. Georges is looking to control Gibson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can St. Georges avoid being mounted? St. Georges is staying active underneath Gibson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. St. Georges wants to improve his position but Gibson is controlling well.

St. Georges is looking for a sweep. Gibson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gibson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Gibson controlling the pace. St. Georges works his way to full guard. Good work.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. St. Georges keeping moving, preventing Gibson from controlling successfully. St. Georges bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gibson's guard.

St. Georges drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gibson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gibson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gibson!
St. Georges is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Gibson landing strikes. Gibson working away. Gibson lands a nice forearm strike. Check out the look on Gibson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
 That's six minutes gone in the round. St. Georges is not content to let Gibson control the position. St. Georges prevents Gibson from improving position. Gibson trying to control the position but St. Georges is working away. Gibson lands a nice forearm strike. St. Georges is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gibson connects with a decent elbow.
 St. Georges is rocked! Gibson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh St. Georges is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Gibson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brody Gibson! Brody Gibson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
