Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tre Jokinen (ranked 759 p4p, 23971 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 63 p4p, 374 weight class). Hunt comes into a darkened arena with his song building. shimmy shimmy ya kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tre Jokinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Hunt! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jokinen tries to get to full guard but Hunt has control of the leg. Hunt slows the pace down in half guard. Jokinen trying to control from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jokinen is looking for a sweep. Hunt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hunt stalling away here and it's allowed Jokinen to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Hunt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Hunt has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hunt slips nicely into half guard. Jokinen tries to get to full guard but Hunt has control of the leg. Hunt content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hunt wants to take a breather but Jokinen is having none of it. Jokinen wants to get back to full guard. Jokinen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jokinen wants to control but Hunt is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jokinen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hunt is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunt slows the pace down in half guard.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Jokinen scores with a body shot.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunt punishes Jokinen's body with a nice straight punch. Jokinen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice jab there from Hunt. Jokinen scores with a nice right hand.
Hunt thuds a left hand into Jokinen's body. Hunt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jokinen. Jokinen misses with an uppercut. Hunt saw that one coming. Hunt changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Jokinen dives in for a single leg takedown but Hunt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jokinen swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hunt lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jokinen is trying to break the clinch but Hunt has him pressed against the cage. Hunt swings wildly with an uppercut but Jokinen uses good head movement to avoid it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunt misses with a hook from the clinch.
Jokinen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jokinen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hunt wants to control but Jokinen postures up. Jokinen in the domination position with Hunt hanging on. Hunt trying to remain calm as Jokinen controls from the top position. Jokinen working away. Hunt is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hunt is not content to let Jokinen control the position. Hunt is looking for a sweep. Jokinen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Jokinen stalling away here and it's allowed Hunt to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Jokinen preventing the sweep. Jokinen throwing strikes but missing. Hunt is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jokinen drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jokinen as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Hunt screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jokinen! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Tre Jokinen! An out of breath Tre Jokinen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
