Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roland Juarez (ranked 3383 p4p, 26041 weight class) and Chris Sexton (ranked 319 p4p, 429 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roland Juarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Sexton! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sexton closes the distance and clinches up with Juarez, looking for a takedown. Sexton pushes Juarez against the cage but Juarez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Juarez lands a two punch combo.
Crunch! Juarez slams his shin into Sexton's torso. Juarez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sexton eats them both and turns towards Juarez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Juarez misses with a two punch combination.

Juarez rushes Sexton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Juarez lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Sexton sneaks out the side door and pushes Juarez away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Roland Juarez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sexton shoots in and drives through. Juarez sprawls well. Juarez went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Juarez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sexton tries to keep at a distance but Juarez has taken the fight into the clinch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Juarez stalks Sexton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sexton's face. Sexton staggers backwards, shaken. Sexton slips under a jab.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Juarez plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Juarez throws a nice looking combination but Sexton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Juarez throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

And that's the end of the fight! Roland Juarez showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Juarez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Roland Juarez! After the fight, Roland Juarez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
