Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Linkavitch Chomofsky (ranked 4299 p4p, 22383 weight class) and Drake Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chomofsky kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mastodon - Sleeping Giant. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Linkavitch Chomofsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drake Johnson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fighters circling - Chomofsky throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A countering left hand to the body from Johnson misses. Chomofsky lands a jab.
Chomofsky closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Chomofsky's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Chomofsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chomofsky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Chomofsky. Chomofsky ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away. Chomofsky is looking to take this fight into the clinch. That's going to take a lot out of Drake Johnson. Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chomofsky throws a body shot but no joy. "I don't think so" says Chomofsky as he avoids it easily. Chomofsky misses the shot to the body. Johnson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nice sprawl there from Chomofsky as Johnson shoots in. Chomofsky throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Chomofsky jabs Johnson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chomofsky. Johnson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chomofsky but Chomofsky pushes him off and we're back to square one. Chomofsky lunges at Johnson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Johnson's hand.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Chomofsky misses the shot to the body. Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chomofsky sprawls well. Chomofsky wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet. Chomofsky lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnson at a distance.

Chomofsky shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Chomofsky scoring with punches and elbows. Linkavitch Chomofsky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Johnson is not content to let Chomofsky control the position. Chomofsky is really struggling to control Johnson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Chomofsky is figuring out what he wants to do next. Chomofsky wants to free his trapped foot but Johnson is holding on for dear life with his legs. Chomofsky wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Chomofsky passes to full mount! Johnson wants to control but Chomofsky is having none of it. Johnson is working to get back to half guard.

Johnson defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Chomofsky's arms. Chomofsky gets his hands free as Johnson looks to control. Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Johnson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chomofsky raining down shots from the mount! Johnson is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! Linkavitch Chomofsky showed his dominance in that final round. Well Chomofsky has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
