Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nate Pawn (ranked 2772 p4p, 2009 weight class) and Karry Mountain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nate Pawn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karry Mountain!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pawn throws a body shot but no joy.
Mountain connects with a leg kick.
Mountain looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mountain works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Pawn tries to move into range but Mountain moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Karry Mountain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pawn takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mountain tries a head kick but it misses.
Pawn is looking to counter punch.
Mountain misses with a left hand
and Pawn counters with a nice uppercut.
Mountain scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Pawn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mountain.
Mountain buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mountain throws an off balance right hand
and Pawn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Pawn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mountain.
It looked like Pawn was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mountain.
Pawn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pawn throws a jab when Mountain was well out of range.
Pawn swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And Mountain responds with a good body kick, but Pawn manages to step out the way in time.
Mountain lands a glancing blow to the side of Pawn's head.
Mountain connects with a crisp jab.

Pawn is rocked!
Pawn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mountain misses with a hook
and Pawn counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Karry Mountain has been cut.
Mountain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pawn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Pawn misses with an uppercut.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mountain! But no joy.
Pawn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mountain.
Pawn moves forwards but Mountain connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Oh Pawn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mountain scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mountain clobbers Pawn with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pawn. Mountain does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mountain throws a lazy right hand but Pawn sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mountain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pawn manages to avoid it.
Mountain throws the left hand but Pawn avoids the punch easily.
Mountain tries a head kick but it misses.
Pawn seems to have got his legs back now.
Nice body kick from Mountain.
Pawn moves out of range of the strikes.
Mountain throws a head kick that misses
and Pawn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mountain misses with a looping right.
Nice jab there from Mountain.
Pawn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mountain throws a big shot that misses.
Mountain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mountain chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Pawn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Pawn defending well as Mountain loads up on a big left hand.
Mountain avoids the body shot from Pawn.
Mountain looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Pawn throws a hook to the side of Mountain's head but Mountain sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mountain scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pawn doesn't seem bothered though.
Mountain is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pawn had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Mountain just misses with a punch to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Pawn on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Mountain jabs at Pawn's body.
Pawn dives in for a single leg takedown but Mountain sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mountain swings wildly with an uppercut but Pawn uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Mountain breaks the clinch.
Pawn takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Mountain throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Pawn counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mountain thinking.
Pawn takes a swing at Mountain's ribcage but misses.
A lazy left from Mountain finds it's target.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mountain delivers a nice body kick.
Mountain moves out of range of the strikes.
Mountain connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mountain with the inside leg kick.
Mountain scores with a hook.
Mountain lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Pawn falls backwards - clearly groggy! Mountain dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karry Mountain!
