Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Wattson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rice Pilaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pilaf has chosen chinese rap as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pilaf connects with a right hand. Wattson shakes it off.
It looks like Steve Wattson has been cut. Pilaf cracks Wattson with a right hand to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. No luck for Wattson with that takedown attempt. Wattson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pilaf as he jumps to the side. Pilaf lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wattson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pilaf tries to avoid it but Wattson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pilaf to the ground. Pilaf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Wattson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pilaf connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Steve Wattson's cut is getting worse. A jab from Pilaf misses. Wattson keeps the fight on the outside. Pilaf throws an overhand right that lands on Wattson's shoulder, as Wattson tries to avoid the shot. Pilaf is looking to clinch. Pilaf lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Steve Wattson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Wattson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wattson slips under a jab from Pilaf. Pilaf drops Wattson with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Wattson! Pilaf dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). Rice Pilaf!
