Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Khabilov (ranked 4935 p4p, 4159 weight class) and Mikheil Darchidze (ranked 343 p4p, 312 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ruslan Khabilov has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ruslan Khabilov seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruslan Khabilov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mikheil Darchidze! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khabilov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Darchidze tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Khabilov shoots in looking for a takedown but Darchidze manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Khabilov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Khabilov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Darchidze as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Khabilov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Darchidze closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Khabilov's guard. Darchidze is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Darchidze trying to control the position from guard on top but Khabilov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khabilov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Darchidze throws a big right hand that misses. Darchidze must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Khabilov keeping full guard, as Darchidze tries to pass. Darchidze sitting in guard, not really doing much. Darchidze's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Khabilov is refusing to be controlled, as Darchidze sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Khabilov gets back to full guard.

Darchidze postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Khabilov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Darchidze, into his guard.
Khabilov stays in close to Darchidze's body and controls the position. Khabilov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Darchidze has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Khabilov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Darchidze keeping moving, preventing Khabilov from controlling successfully. Darchidze manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Khabilov manages to get himself to full guard.
Darchidze controlling from the top position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Khabilov wants to stand but Darchidze is controlling the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Darchidze tries for a takedown but Khabilov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Khabilov is looking for a counter combo.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Darchidze enables Khabilov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Darchidze manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Khabilov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Khabilov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Khabilov works over Darchidze with some ground and pound from guard. Darchidze is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Darchidze working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Khabilov. Khabilov lands a couple of digs.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Darchidze trying to control the position here. Khabilov wants to control from the top but Darchidze keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Darchidze can do anything to dispel that myth.
Khabilov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Darchidze dives on top into guard.

Darchidze thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Darchidze looking to sit in guard and control but Khabilov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Darchidze bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Khabilov's guard.
Darchidze is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Khabilov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Darchidze controls from within his opponent's guard. Darchidze is continuing to stall.
Khabilov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Darchidze is aware though and is defending well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ruslan Khabilov dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Darchidze is stalling here. Khabilov is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Darchidze seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Khabilov has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Khabilov in side control, throwing shots but Darchidze defends. You can see the frustration on Darchidze's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Khabilov throwing strikes but Darchidze manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Darchidze gets to mount! Khabilov was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Darchidze thowing shots but they're missing.
Darchidze swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Khabilov is now in Darchidze's guard. A big mistake from Darchidze there, giving up the dominant position! Darchidze trying to control the position here. Darchidze keeping moving, preventing Khabilov from controlling successfully.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Darchidze is adopting a defensive guard. Darchidze looking to hit a scissor sweep but Khabilov is one step ahead there. Khabilov wants to pass the guard but Darchidze is keeping the position. Ruslan Khabilov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Darchidze keeping moving, preventing Khabilov from controlling successfully. Khabilov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Darchidze is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Khabilov chips away with some ground and pound. Khabilov wants to control from the top but Darchidze keeps moving. Khabilov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Darchidze is keeping the position for now. Darchidze has Khabilov pulled in close to control his posture. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Khabilov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Darchidze works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Ruslan Khabilov showed his dominance in that final round. I think Khabilov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

He faster, I admit it. But I be back! You not see last of me, I promise you! I run circles ‘round him next time—watch me! Two lungs, still too strong, next time I take victory!'.
