And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 5 losses; Dram Macallan! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?
Koks shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Macallan's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Koks (2) vs (0) Macallan Macallan keeping moving, preventing Koks from controlling successfully. Koks not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Koks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Macallan is keeping the position for now. Koks works a leg free and moves into half guard. Macallan is refusing to be controlled, as Koks sits in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koks looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Koks looking to sit in guard and control but Macallan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.  That's two minutes gone in the round. Koks is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Macallan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Koks wants to sweep but no luck. Koks is working hard here to advance position. Koks working a defensive guard but Macallan manages to pass into side control anyway.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Macallan content just to control the position here. Koks is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Koks tries to lock up and control but Macallan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Macallan prevents Koks from getting the reversal. Koks slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Koks is looking to get back to full guard here but Macallan has managed to pass to side control instead. Score +3 for passing guard: Koks (2) vs (10) Macallan Koks is trying to control Macallan's posture but Macallan avoids it. Koks gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Koks wants to improve his position but Macallan is controlling well.

Koks slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Macallan preventing the sweep. Koks being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Koks has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Macallan has passed into side control.

 That's six minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Koks tries to buck Macallan off but Macallan is having none of it. Koks regains half guard. Koks is trying to maintain the position but Macallan is very close to passing his half guard. Koks gets back to full guard.
 That's seven minutes gone in the round. Macallan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Koks looking for a sweep. Not yet Koks, not yet. Macallan looking to pass the guard. Macallan controls from within his opponent's guard. Koks keeping full guard, as Macallan tries to pass.

Koks sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Macallan content to control rather than advance. Koks trying to control here.

Koks works his way to full guard. Good work. Koks pulls Macallan in to control the position. Koks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Koks (4) vs (18) Macallan Koks not doing much here.
Macallan tries to get to full guard but Koks has control of the leg.
 That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Koks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Macallan keeps working. Koks is figuring out what he wants to do next.
 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Koks is keen to just control but Macallan is a slippery customer. Koks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Macallan is trying is best to control the position here. Koks tries to pass the half guard into mount. Macallan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Koks is trying to control the action in half guard but Macallan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Macallan wants to improve his position but Koks is controlling well.
Koks is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Score +3 for passing guard: Koks (7) vs (18) Macallan Koks moves to back control. Score +3 for taking back: Koks (10) vs (18) Macallan
Macallan defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Koks's arms. Macallan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Macallan prevents Koks from taking his back.
Koks swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Macallan is now in Koks's guard. A big mistake from Koks there, giving up the dominant position! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Koks (10) vs (20) Macallan Macallan controls from within his opponent's guard. Koks wants to sweep but no luck.
