Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minard comes to the cage accompanied by Only One. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liam Minard! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Rogers! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minard throws a series of punches but Rogers moves out of range. Minard shoots in and drives through. Rogers sprawls well. Rogers checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Nice sprawl there from Rogers as Minard shoots in. Minard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liam Minard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rogers doesn't manage to clinch there - Minard circles away.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch but Minard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rogers avoids the body shot from Minard.
Rogers fails in his attempt to clinch. Rogers is looking to clinch but Minard is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogers misses with a combination
and Minard counters with a takedown into side control. Minard grinds an elbow into Rogers's temple. Minard tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Minard is controlling him well. Minard is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rogers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Minard grinds an elbow into Rogers's temple. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minard creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rogers sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Rogers pushes Minard away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Minard gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Rogers taking punishment in the form of punches.
Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Minard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Minard working the ground and pound from side control.
Rogers is rocked! A big shot lands for Minard! That's hurt Rogers! Will he recover? Minard fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liam Minard! Liam Minard is the new light heavyweight champion!
