Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nickolas Booker (ranked 0 p4p, 3563 weight class) and Zane Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 226 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nickolas Booker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zane Roberts! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Booker or perhaps it was just good defense by Roberts, which made it look bad.
Booker scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Roberts wants to improve his position but Booker is controlling well.
Booker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Roberts with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Booker is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Booker slips a nice elbow through Roberts's hands, connecting with Roberts's forehead. Booker working the head and body with strikes. Booker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Booker winds up and cracks Roberts with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roberts is looking for a sweep. Booker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Booker is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Roberts sees it coming and defends easily.

Roberts is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Booker pulls his head out easily. Booker winds up and cracks Roberts with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Booker is looking for a kimura but Roberts is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Booker to get the leverage.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Booker landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Booker scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Ground and pound from Booker. Roberts is trying to maintain the position but Booker is very close to passing his half guard. Booker looks to score some points with some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roberts gets full guard. Roberts is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Booker is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Roberts tries to free his leg and advance position but Booker is retaining full guard. Booker wants to sweep here but Roberts controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Booker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
 And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Booker tries for a takedown but Roberts circles away easily and Roberts counters with a nice uppercut.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Booker enables Roberts to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Booker manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Booker lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
 Booker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Roberts can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Booker chips away with some ground and pound. Booker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

 Roberts is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Booker loads up on a big left hand. Roberts felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Booker looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Roberts can't hide his disappointment, as Booker celebrates the victory.
