Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jabari Mcdowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Zapata!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdowell dodges the punch combination from Zapata.
Mcdowell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Zapata gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mcdowell wants the takedown. Zapata is fighting it off but Mcdowell persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Zapata's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mcdowell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Zapata is working an open guard so Mcdowell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Mcdowell misses with a looping left.
Mcdowell shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcdowell is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Zapata is trying to stand up here but Mcdowell is controlling him well.
Mcdowell is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zapata defends it well.
Zapata wants to get back to his feet.

Mcdowell is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zapata sees it coming and defends easily.
Mcdowell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Zapata doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mcdowell.
Zapata tries to kick Mcdowell off but Mcdowell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Mcdowell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Mcdowell gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Mcdowell throws a hook but Zapata blocks it.
Zapata tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mcdowell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mcdowell gets the takedown into side control.
Zapata throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Zapata scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Zapata uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mcdowell.

Mcdowell is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Mcdowell maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Zapata could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mcdowell has cracked it and Zapata is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mcdowell!

Jabari Mcdowell decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Clark Zapata spoke after the fight, saying 'I will learn from this.'.
