Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Dalton misses with a takedown attempt - Fontaine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fontaine tries to counter with a clinch but Dalton shakes him off and moves away. Dalton closes the distance and clinches up with Fontaine, looking for a takedown. Dalton pushes Fontaine against the ropes but Fontaine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dalton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pacer Dalton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fontaine forces Dalton back against the ropes and clinches. Dalton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fontaine avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
