Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eyam Silver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mon Key! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Key tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silver sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Key somewhat. Silver closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Silver wants to work for an arm triangle but Key is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Key is looking for a sweep. Silver is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Silver is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Key has managed to free his arm - good work. Key trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Key is defending against the submission attempts here by Silver.
Silver is trying to control. Key wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Key trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Key keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Silver swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Key is now in Silver's guard. A big mistake from Silver there, giving up the dominant position! Silver is breathing heavily. Key tries to stand but Silver is controlling from the bottom. Silver will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Silver wants to sweep here but Key controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silver wants to stand and escape but Key is having none of it. Key passes Silver's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Key is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silver is just riding it out for now. Key eventually gives up the hold. Silver on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Key slows the pace down in half guard. Key trying to control the action but Silver is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silver is trying to get back to full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Key slows the pace down in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mon Key will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Silver doesn't succeed with the takedown and Key counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Key trying to control but Silver is working from the bottom. Key postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silver is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Key, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver got a little sloppy there for a moment and Key has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silver has managed to get both his arms back between Key's legs - danger averted. Silver wants to control from the top but Key keeps moving. Key is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Silver is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Key sees it coming and defends easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Key is trying to get back to full guard. Silver throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Key regains full guard. Nicely done. Key is looking for a triangle but Silver pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silver with a nice head shot there. Key is looking to sweep but instead, Silver has passed into half guard.

Key tries to clinch up but Silver circles away and keeps his distance. Silver drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Key wants to sweep but no luck. Key looking to control but Silver passes into half guard.
Silver seems to be looking for submissions.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Key is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silver off and has taken his back!
