Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Miocic (ranked 3339 p4p, 2448 weight class) and Maximus Furioto (ranked 126 p4p, 95 weight class). Miocic comes into the arena with God Gave Me Style - 50 Cent blaring out of the sound system. Furioto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 韻踏合組合 -. Jon Miocic has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Miocic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 40 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Furioto! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miocic throws a poor cross that misses
and Furioto counters with a single leg into guard. Miocic didn't expect that. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Miocic is looking to stand up but Furioto isn't so interested in that idea. Furioto trying to control the position from guard on top but Miocic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Furioto won't allow Miocic to get back to his feet. Miocic trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Miocic has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.  The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. No luck with that takedown attempt from Furioto.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Furioto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Miocic can pounce on him.
Oooooh!!! Miocic has knocked Furioto down with a huge combo! Miocic steps away and waves a wobbly Furioto back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

 It looks like Maximus Furioto has been cut. Miocic wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Furioto is still on wobbly legs! Can Miocic finish him? Furioto tries to land a front kick but Miocic steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Furioto checks a leg kick. Furioto seems to have recovered his senses. Miocic throws a lazy right hand but Furioto sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Furioto feints the counter takedown. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Furioto uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miocic. Furioto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Miocic swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Furioto dives in for a single leg takedown but Miocic sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Furioto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Furioto checks a leg kick nicely. Furioto fails to land the takedown. Jon Miocic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Furioto. Furioto dodges the punch combination from Miocic.
Furioto drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Miocic defends it well. Furioto shoots in but no luck this time. Miocic was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Miocic lands with a straight right. Furioto didn't see that one coming. Miocic motions for Furioto to come forward. Miocic throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Miocic connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Miocic will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Furioto takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Miocic misses with a straight left. Miocic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Furioto. Jon Miocic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miocic stuffs the takedown attempt from Furioto. Furioto gets slowly back to his feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Furioto shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Miocic pushes Furioto off and gets back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Miocic sends Furioto crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Miocic is motioning to the referee to let Furioto up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
 That has opened up Maximus Furioto's cut even more. Miocic is looking to slow Furioto down with leg kicks. Furioto shoots in for a takedown but Miocic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jon Miocic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Miocic feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Furioto sprawling to the canvas! Furioto rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Miocic finish him?!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Furioto takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Miocic lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Furioto up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Miocic from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Furioto's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Miocic! A relieved looking Jon Miocic thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. The defeated Maximus Furioto had this to say: 'oohhh!nooooo!'.
