Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Zuev (ranked 809 p4p, 639 weight class) and Diziz Sparta Jr (ranked 109 p4p, 88 weight class). Sparta Jr has chosen Just like you imagined as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aleksandr Zuev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diziz Sparta Jr!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zuev misses with a looping left.
Sparta Jr shoots in and gets a takedown into Zuev's guard.
Zuev is trying to control the position but Sparta Jr postures up.
Sparta Jr wants to control from the top but Zuev keeps moving.
Zuev pulls Sparta Jr in to control the position.
Sparta Jr drops back looking for a leg! Zuev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zuev manages to kick Sparta Jr off! Sparta Jr jumps back into Zuev's guard.
Zuev wants to get back to his feet but Sparta Jr is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sparta Jr wants to control from the top but Zuev keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Zuev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sparta Jr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sparta Jr takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Diziz Sparta Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zuev walks into a stiff left hand from Sparta Jr.
Zuev misses with a double jab.
Sparta Jr has managed to clinch.
Zuev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sparta Jr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Zuev on the side of the head.
Zuev misses with the combination.
Sparta Jr needs to keep his hands up - Zuev had a free shot at his head there.
Sparta Jr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sparta Jr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zuev works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sparta Jr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Zuev wants to stand and escape but Sparta Jr is having none of it.
Sparta Jr tries to free his leg and advance position but Zuev is retaining full guard.
Sparta Jr stays in close to Zuev's body and controls the position.
Sparta Jr drops back, looking for a kneebar! Zuev looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Zuev looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Zuev!
Sparta Jr is trying to control Zuev's posture but Zuev avoids it.
Sparta Jr has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Sparta Jr is trying to improve his position.
Sparta Jr struggling a bit here.

Sparta Jr tries to improve position but can't.
Zuev has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Sparta Jr tries to close the distance and clinch but Zuev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
An attempted straight right counter from Zuev misses the target.
Zuev wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sparta Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zuev's waist but Zuev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sparta Jr off to one side.
Aleksandr Zuev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zuev lands a head shot.
Sparta Jr throws an overhand right that lands on Zuev's shoulder, as Zuev tries to avoid the shot.
A combination from Zuev does no damage.
Sparta Jr fails with an attempt to clinch.
Zuev connects with a high kick.
Sparta Jr is rocked!
Zuev connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Sparta Jr covering up! Zuev comes in with a big uppercut and Sparta Jr goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Aleksandr Zuev!
Aleksandr Zuev spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Diziz Sparta Jr spoke after the fight, saying 'Time to think about a new career. I love training.'.
