Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paavali Kontiainen (ranked 1101 p4p, 1244 weight class) and Kimmo Peramaki (ranked 144 p4p, 162 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paavali Kontiainen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kimmo Peramaki!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kontiainen wants to clinch but Peramaki slips to the side
and Peramaki counters with a two punch combo.
Kontiainen is looking to clinch but Peramaki is avoiding it.
Kontiainen has closed the distance and engaged Peramaki in a clinch.
Peramaki is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kontiainen to keep the fight standing.
Kontiainen misses with the head strike.
Kontiainen working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Peramaki tries to pull guard but Kontiainen won't allow it.
Kontiainen misses with a punch on the inside.
Kontiainen has a couple of punches blocked by Peramaki.
Peramaki presses Kontiainen against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Kontiainen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Kontiainen throws an elbow that misses. Peramaki uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kontiainen's guard. Nice move by Peramaki!
Peramaki trying to control but Kontiainen is working from the bottom.

Peramaki passes Kontiainen's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Kontiainen wants to get back to full guard but Peramaki has mounted him!
Kontiainen swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Kontiainen is looking to get to half guard.
Peramaki jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kontiainen manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Sloppy strikes there by Peramaki.
Kontiainen striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Peramaki is working to tighten his grip on Kontiainen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kontiainen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Peramaki is really squeezing tight and eventually Kontiainen passes out! Peramaki breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
