Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eli Vieira (ranked 2773 p4p, 3523 weight class) and Mehdi Kanaani (ranked 297 p4p, 365 weight class). Kanaani has chosen Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Nuthin' But A G Thang as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eli Vieira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 36 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mehdi Kanaani!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kanaani rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Vieira counter with a right hand.
It looks like Mehdi Kanaani has been cut.
Kanaani lands with a straight right. Vieira didn't see that one coming.
Kanaani misses with a right hand
and Vieira counters with a stiff right hand.
That has opened up Mehdi Kanaani's cut even more.
Kanaani throws a lazy uppercut
and Vieira decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kanaani's guard.
Vieira not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kanaani wants to stand up but Vieira is controlling him.
Kanaani looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Vieira will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vieira slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kanaani is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kanaani throws an overhand right that lands on Vieira's shoulder, as Vieira tries to avoid the shot.
Vieira appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Kanaani misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vieira.
Kanaani swings for the body but Vieira moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kanaani throws a left and a right that both miss
and Vieira counters with a stiff right hand.
The cut above Mehdi Kanaani's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mehdi Kanaani's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Eli Vieira!
Eli Vieira got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
