Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 23273 p4p, 23503 weight class) and Helen Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kugus Amiga had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 73 - 69 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 61 - 80 - 11, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Amiga misses with a kick to the body.
Salvacion let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Amiga has his takedown stuffed and Salvacion counters with a head kick. Amiga shoots in for a double leg but Salvacion sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Amiga avoids it really well and circles away. Amiga feinted with a counter takedown.
 That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Amiga with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kugus Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amiga misses with a takedown attempt and Salvacion counters with a body kick. Amiga misses with a takedown attempt and Salvacion counters with a body kick that stops Amiga in his tracks momentarily.
Salvacion shoots in and gets a takedown into Amiga's guard. Amiga wants to get back to his feet but Salvacion passes into half guard.

Amiga is trying to control but can't.
Salvacion looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. It looks like Salvacion might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga controlling the position well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Amiga is looking for a sweep. Salvacion is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Amiga is controlling Salvacion's position as best he can from this difficult position.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Amiga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amiga wants it to stay on the feet. Amiga jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! No luck for Salvacion with that takedown attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Helen Salvacion dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Salvacion looks to land a body kick but Amiga moved away. Salvacion shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Amiga counters with a nice kick to the body.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Amiga is looking to control Salvacion's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Amiga avoid being mounted? Amiga is looking to get back to full guard here but Salvacion has managed to pass to side control instead. Salvacion misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion working the ground and pound from side control. Amiga seems a little lost for a moment, as Salvacion dominates the positioning. Amiga is trying to control Salvacion's posture but Salvacion avoids it. Salvacion is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Amiga will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Salvacion has a takedown stuffed. Amiga quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Amiga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion avoids it really well and circles away. Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Amiga defends well and Salvacion ends up having to push Amiga into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Amiga throws a big counter combination but Salvacion scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Helen Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Amiga closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Amiga lands in his opponent's guard. Amiga is fighting to break Salvacion's control of his arms but Salvacion is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Salvacion looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Amiga wants to control from the top but Salvacion keeps moving. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Salvacion is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Amiga is controlling him.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Amiga fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Salvacion is trying to counter with his kicks. Amiga displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Salvacion.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amiga looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Amiga is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Helen Salvacion has got the better of the ground game so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvacion seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kugus Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Helen Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Amiga trying to control the position from guard on top but Salvacion is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Kugus Amiga showed his dominance in that final round. Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
