Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matthias Daniel (ranked 4476 p4p, 26057 weight class) and Top Basketball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matthias Daniel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Top Basketball! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Daniel wants it to stay on the feet.
Daniel closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Basketball's guard. Daniel looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Daniel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Daniel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Daniel controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Daniel forces his way into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Daniel throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Daniel looks to land a strike but Basketball avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Daniel is stalling in the full guard. Basketball preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Basketball is trying to control the position but Daniel postures up.
Daniel drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Basketball manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Daniel has Basketball in his guard.

Daniel throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Basketball escapes and throws Daniel's legs to the side, diving into side control!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniel is trying to buck Basketball off. Daniel can't do much from the bottom here. Daniel wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Basketball trying to control the action but Daniel is working from the bottom. Daniel is trying to get back to half guard. Daniel throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniel manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Daniel is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Daniel trying to control the pace. Daniel lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Daniel in particular looking to stall.
Daniel is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Basketball has managed to free his arm - good work. Nice strikes from Daniel there.

Daniel wants to work for an arm triangle but Basketball is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Daniel is working for a kimura but Basketball is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daniel tries to stand and escape but Basketball is controlling the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Daniel is figuring out what he wants to do next. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Basketball is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Daniel, into his guard.

Daniel isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Basketball stacks Daniel on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Basketball! Daniel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Basketball's best efforts. Daniel trying to control but Basketball postures up.

Daniel actively working from the bottom here. Daniel tries to get to full guard but Basketball has control of the leg. Basketball prevents Daniel from standing back up.
Daniel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Basketball's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Basketball's back! Daniel lands an elbow to the side of the head.
 Basketball is rocked! Basketball is breathing heavily.
Daniel tightening his grip on Basketball, looking for the choke. Basketball is still in real trouble! Can Daniel finish him?
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniel connects with a big shot to the side of Basketball's head.
Basketball is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Basketball seems to have recovered his senses. Daniel lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Daniel is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Daniel is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Basketball defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Daniel biding his time, controlling Basketball.
Daniel is persistently looking for the submission but Basketball is defending it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Daniel is punishing Basketball with strikes - can he finish him?! Daniel lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Daniel has got one arm under Basketball's chin. This could be trouble... Basketball trying to control the other hand but Daniel gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Basketball has tapped out! The fight is over!
