Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Furioto (ranked 2792 p4p, 3064 weight class) and Kristof Pardi (ranked 92 p4p, 102 weight class). Furioto comes to the cage accompanied by 韻踏合組合 -. Pardi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Party Boy Theme. Kristof Pardi acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Furioto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 21 - 2, fighting out of London, Kristof Pardi!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pardi feints and as Furioto raises his hands in defense, Pardi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Furioto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pardi looking to pass the guard.
Pardi is still trying to improve position.
Pardi controlling from the top position.
Let's hope that Pardi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Furioto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Pardi dives in and scores a takedown into Furioto's guard.
Pardi is fighting to break Furioto's control of his arms but Furioto is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Pardi wants to pass the guard but Furioto is keeping the position.

Furioto has his hands on Pardi's head, controlling the position.

Furioto wants to hit a sweep here but Pardi passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Furioto there!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pardi looking to control and managing it successfully.
Pardi wants to take Furioto's back here but Furioto is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Nice takedown defense from Furioto. No joy for Pardi on that attempt.
Furioto is looking to counter with a body kick.

Pardi shoots in and bounces Furioto off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Furioto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pardi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Furioto wants to sweep but no luck.

Furioto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pardi's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Furioto trying to control but Pardi is working from the bottom.
Furioto looking to sit in guard and control but Pardi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Furioto trying to keep a closed guard but Pardi is proving a slippery customer.
Furioto is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pardi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

My spies in London MMA Club inform me that Pardi has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Kristof Pardi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nice uppercut lands for Pardi. That snapped Furioto's head back.

It looks like Maximus Furioto has been cut.
Pardi staying out of range there.
Furioto circles away from the clinch attempt.

Pardi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Maximus Furioto is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pardi closes the distance and clinches.
Furioto struggles to land a body shot inside as Pardi controls his hands.
Pardi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Furioto just stands there and leans against the cage.
Furioto prevents the takedown attempt.

Pardi jumps guard.
Furioto trying to control the position from guard on top but Pardi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've been hearing good reports from Furioto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Furioto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pardi is aware though and is defending well.
