The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nomura missing with a left hand there. Mesquita was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mesquita lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Nomura lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Mesquita catches Nomura with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Mesquita bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nomura's head backwards.
Nomura is rocked!
Mesquita lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Nomura head around and knocks him out cold! Mesquita hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hugo Mesquita!
