Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juanito Alvarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mikheil Valiev! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valiev closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Alvarez tries for a takedown but Valiev manages to get underhooks.

Alvarez is trying to push Valiev away but Valiev has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Alvarez takes an elbow to the forehead. Alvarez takes a knee right on the jaw!

Alvarez is trying to drag Valiev to the mat but Valiev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Valiev misses with an elbow strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarez fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Alvarez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Valiev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Valiev putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Alvarez in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Alvarez is breathing heavily. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valiev comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Valiev keeps control of Alvarez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Alvarez is looking to break free of the clinch but Valiev has double underhooks. Valiev with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Valiev unloads a knee to the mid-section. Alvarez lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Alvarez tries to circle away but Valiev has him pinned against the cage. Valiev landing knees to the body.
Valiev gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Valiev has Alvarez pressed against the cage, preventing Alvarez from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Valiev lands an elbow just above Alvarez 's eye. Valiev has Alvarez pressed against the cage. He pushes Alvarez back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Valiev throws a beautiful elbow that sends Alvarez crashing to the floor! Valiev piles on the pressure with more strikes! Alvarez is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikheil Valiev! Our winner, Mikheil Valiev, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
