Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yandel Mueller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danielo Di Monteggi!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mueller tries to clinch up but Di Monteggi circles away and keeps his distance.
Mueller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Di Monteggi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mueller defends it well.
Di Monteggi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mueller's waist but Mueller gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Di Monteggi off to one side.
Mueller clinches up with Di Monteggi and pushes him back against the cage.
Mueller taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Di Monteggi works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Mueller is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Di Monteggi passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mueller tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Di Monteggi wants to stand but Mueller has his arm trapped.
Mueller tries to bench press Di Monteggi off him but Di Monteggi keeps the position.
Mueller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Di Monteggi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Mueller to see if he's OK.
Mueller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Di Monteggi on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mueller tries to improve position but can't.
Mueller wants to control but Di Monteggi postures up.

Mueller wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Di Monteggi has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Mueller's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Mueller is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Di Monteggi!
