Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Cheever (ranked 4087 p4p, 4149 weight class) and Majid Mensah (ranked 0 p4p, 402 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Cheever!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Majid Mensah!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mensah shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cheever sprawls well. Cheever wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mensah gets slowly back to his feet.
Mensah takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mensah leaves Cheever with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mensah fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cheever looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cheever lands a big head kick that sends Mensah tumbling to the mat! Cheever takes a step backwards and waves Mensah back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Majid Mensah has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cheever instigates a clinch.

Mensah shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cheever tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mensah swats him away and circles back towards the center.

With the fighters up against the cage, Cheever throws an elbow but misses.
Cheever blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Cheever is pressed up against the cage. Mensah has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cheever down to the mat. Cheever avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Antonio Cheever has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Majid Mensah.
Mensah defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cheever.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mensah stands up and waves to Cheever to follow him.
Mensah defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cheever.
Cheever is breathing heavily.
Mensah connects with an inside leg kick.
Cheever moves in looking to clinch but Mensah pushes him off.
Mensah tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cheever defends well and Mensah ends up having to push Cheever into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Cheever tries a body shot but Mensah blocks it.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Cheever has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cheever manages to break the clinch.
Mensah gets tackled into the cage by Cheever. Cheever maintains the clinch.
Cheever cracks Mensah with a nice body shot.
A frustrated look appears on Mensah's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cheever doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cheever scores with a nice hook to the head.

Cheever's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Mensah decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cheever's guard.
Cheever is trying to keep Mensah in close.
Mensah wants to control from the top but Cheever keeps moving.
Mensah cracks Cheever with a solid left hand.

Mensah looking to sit in guard and control but Cheever gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cheever avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mensah working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cheever.
Cheever loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Cheever stopping the sweep attempt from Mensah.
Mensah is looking to cinch up a triangle. Cheever throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mensah's body to avoid the submission. Mensah has instead reached around Cheever's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mensah arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Majid Mensah!
Majid Mensah bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
