Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mahjid Salazar (ranked 5160 p4p, 4136 weight class) and Ayden Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ayden Bruce will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mahjid Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ayden Bruce! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bruce is defended easily by Salazar. Salazar attempts a counter takedown but Bruce avoids it well and moves away. Bruce darts in trying to clinch
and Salazar counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bruce! Bruce struggling a bit here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bruce looking for a sweep but Salazar has passed into full mount! Oh no! Bruce can't escape the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salazar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bruce is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bruce tries to reverse the position but Salazar maintains control. Salazar wants to control the pace but Bruce is squirming around nicely. Bruce is trying desperately to improve position.  That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazar wants to control the pace but Bruce is squirming around nicely. Salazar throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Bruce keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bruce keeps trying to improve his position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Salazar tries to control but Bruce wriggling away.

Bruce is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce is trying to drag Salazar to the mat but Salazar just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Mahjid Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ayden Bruce. Bruce drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Salazar gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Salazar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Salazar has had enough of the clinch but Bruce keeps him there for the moment.
Bruce breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Salazar on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Good leg kick by Bruce. Bruce is looking to clinch but Salazar is avoiding it.
Bruce changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Salazar tries to avoid it but Bruce manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Salazar to the ground. Salazar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Salazar attempts a counter takedown but Bruce avoids it well and moves away. Bruce finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bruce doesn't manage to clinch there - Salazar circles away.
Salazar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Salazar blocks a head kick by Bruce.
Salazar feinted with a counter takedown. Bruce tries to close the distance and clinch up but Salazar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Salazar drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bruce sprawls and moves away. Ayden Bruce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bruce is looking to clinch but Salazar is avoiding it.

Bruce fails in his attempt to clinch. Bruce shoots in for a double leg but Salazar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Salazar attempts a counter takedown but Bruce avoids it well and moves away. Bruce misses with the combination.

Bruce throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Salazar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salazar wants it to stay on the feet. Bruce tries to close the distance and clinch but Salazar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Salazar drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bruce sprawls and moves away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salazar stuffs the takedown. Salazar tries to counter with a takedown but Bruce is quick to defend against it. Bruce lands the left hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ayden Bruce showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

and Salazar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Salazar. Salazar slips nicely into half guard. Bruce wants to get back to full guard. Bruce avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Salazar. Bruce is refusing to be controlled, as Salazar sits in half guard. Salazar works his way into full mount!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Bruce regains half guard. Salazar wants to take a breather but Bruce is having none of it. Salazar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bruce knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Salazar is trying to control. Bruce wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bruce is trying to stand back up but Salazar is controlling him

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Ayden Bruce. I think Bruce has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
