Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ross Clay (ranked 5183 p4p, 3184 weight class) and Taisei Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Clay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taisei Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay throws a right and a left that Sakuraba avoids nicely.
Clay swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sakuraba counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ross Clay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clay on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Ross Clay has been cut.
Clay with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sakuraba cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sakuraba darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Clay won't allow Sakuraba to pass to mount.
Sakuraba is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Sakuraba maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Clay could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Sakuraba has cracked it and Clay is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Sakuraba!

An out of breath Taisei Sakuraba thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Ross Clay stepped up to the mic, saying 'I really don't know how to feel, it was a good fight.. a very good fight and I think we both showed our best side out there. I hope I can come back stronger.'.
