Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Kornilov (ranked 4748 p4p, 26058 weight class) and Top Basketball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basketball has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruslan Kornilov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Top Basketball! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kornilov fails with a takedown attempt. Kornilov throws a looping overhand right but Basketball ducks down to avoid it. Basketball shapes to counter with a head kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kornilov. Kornilov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Basketball finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Kornilov. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kornilov wants to clinch.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Basketball changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kornilov tries to avoid it but Basketball manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kornilov to the ground. Kornilov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kornilov is looking to clinch but Basketball is avoiding it.
Kornilov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Basketball's guard. Kornilov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Basketball is proving hard to escape from. Kornilov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kornilov advances to half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kornilov wants to stand up but Basketball has a hold of him and won't allow it. Kornilov slips a nice elbow through Basketball's hands, connecting with Basketball's forehead. Kornilov lands with a punch from half guard. Kornilov wants to get back to his feet.
Basketball really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kornilov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Basketball looks winded! Kornilov controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kornilov trying to pass the guard but Basketball defending well. Kornilov is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Basketball gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kornilov to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kornilov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kornilov trying to stand up but can't free himself from Basketball's guard. Kornilov passes into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kornilov works his foot free and advances to mount. Kornilov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Basketball looks a forlorn figure.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ruslan Kornilov dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kornilov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Basketball as he jumps to the side. A head kick misses from Kornilov.
Kornilov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Basketball trying to control from the bottom.
Kornilov tries to stand and escape but Basketball is controlling the position. Kornilov lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kornilov not doing much here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Basketball is breathing heavily.
Kornilov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Basketball sees it coming and defends easily. Kornilov slips a nice elbow through Basketball's hands, connecting with Basketball's forehead. Kornilov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Kornilov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kornilov slows the pace down in half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kornilov looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kornilov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kornilov is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Basketball is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ruslan Kornilov! Ruslan Kornilov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
